Venue of the 2025 Flexographers' Conference

The Airport Hotel Okęcie is located in the southwestern part of Warsaw, at the intersection of national roads S2, S7, and S8, in close proximity to Chopin Airport. It offers a convenient base for both domestic and international travelers. The public transportation network connects the hotel with Warsaw’s city center and major long-distance transport hubs. Guests arriving at the airport can take advantage of a complimentary shuttle service providing transportation between the Airport and the Hotel in both directions. The hotel features a Wellness & Fitness relaxation zone and a diverse culinary offering, including the elegant Polish Restaurant, the casual Mirage Restaurant, the unique Aviator Bar & Lounge, and Czekolada Café—an atelier of exquisite desserts and a signature coffee shop.

Situated in the southwestern part of the city, at the intersection of national roads S2, S7, and S8, it is in close proximity to Chopin Airport, making it an ideal hub for domestic and international travel. The hotel is well-connected to Warsaw's city center and long-distance transportation networks via public transport. It offers 263 rooms and parking for approximately 300 vehicles. For guests who are unable to book rooms at the conference venue, an additional room block has been reserved at the Hampton by Hilton Warsaw Airport, located at 39F Komitetu Obrony Robotników Street, 02-148 Warsaw.

Program of the Flexographers' Conference 2025

During the Conference, topics relevant to the entire flexographic industry will be addressed. A recurring workshop led by Stefano d'Andrea will focus on common issues in flexographic printing, offering participants the opportunity to ask anonymous questions live. Discussions will include themes such as “The Future of Flexography in Light of Upcoming PPWR Changes” and “Challenges and Responsibilities of Manufacturers Under New Regulations.” Additionally, we will revisit the subject of printing with an extended color gamut (ECG) and its applications in the industry.

INVITED EXPERTS

Artur Bartkowiak

Artur Bartkowiak (Prof. Dr. habil. Eng.), full professor at the Center for Bioimmobilization and Innovative Packaging Materials (CBIMO), Faculty of Food Sciences and Fisheries, West Pomeranian University of Technology in Szczecin (ZUT Szczecin); field of expertise: chemical technology, specialization: biopolymer and packaging technology. Director of CBIMO ZUT, responsible for managing CBIMO’s activities based on funding from external projects and commissioned work carried out in collaboration with industry partners (the unit employs about 20 individuals financed through external resources). Chair of the Scientific Discipline Council for Food Technology and Nutrition at the Faculty of Food Sciences and Fisheries, ZUT Szczecin.

Stefano d’Andrea

Stefano is an industrial graphic expert. Since 1989 he dedicated his entire professional activity to the flexographic process, from design and prepress, to plate making and printing. During his career in the flexo industry he has covered several roles, including technical support to sales, product management, business development, education and technical training. Since 2017 he is dedicated exclusively to technical education in the flexographic process and consultancy as an independent professional. Stefano manages the flexo.expert and flexo.training websites and carries out teaching activities both independently and in collaboration with Italian and foreign technical institutes. He is a member of FTA USA with which he obtained the title of Level III Certified Implementation Specialist according to the FIRST (Flexographic Image Reproduction Specifications & Tolerances) method, executive board member of the Flexo Quality Consortium and of the FIRST Leadership Committee. He actively contributes to the activities of ATIF (Italian Technical Association for Flexography) and FTA Europe. He is also a member of TAGA Italia

Adam Fotek

Adam Fotek. Expert at J.S Hamilton Poland Sp. z o.o. Specializes in materials and products made of plastics intended for food contact. He possesses knowledge and experience in European and Polish legal regulations as well as testing methods related to food packaging. Member of the Technical Committee 133 for Packaging at the Polish Committee for Standardization (PKN). Author and co-author of publications and implementations of testing methods for materials and products intended for food contact. Participant in research and development projects funded by the National Centre for Research and Development. Trainer and advisor in the field of materials and products for food contact. From 2005 to 2013, he worked at the Central Research and Development Centre for Packaging.
